Victor Saikaley Obituary, Victor Saikaley has passed away

Victor Saikaley Obituary, Death – On December 19, 2022, after a long and valiant battle against pancreatic cancer, Victor Saikaley passed away at home, bringing an end to the courageous battle that he had fought. Victor Saikaley had fought the disease for several years. It hurts us deeply to have to deliver such devastating news. Among those who will miss him and continue to carry on his legacy are his devoted wife Rena, their two sons Marcus and Thomas, and the families of his siblings Mary-Lou, Gloria, and Charles.

John and Georgette Saikaley welcomed their son Victor into the world on December 22, 1958, in the city of Ottawa. Victor was named after his father. Victor, who proudly completed his high school studies at Hillcrest and then went on to earn a Bachelor of Engineering degree from Carleton University, placed a significant emphasis on acquiring a quality education. Hillcrest was proud to have Victor as a graduate (Civil).

Victor worked throughout his entire life in the fields of structural engineering, restaurant ownership, and property management. Throughout his career, he was very successful. His two sons brought him the greatest amount of happiness throughout his life. The commitment that Victor made to his family came before anything else in his life. He was an exceptionally humble man.

He was an incredible chess player and teacher who also had modest passions for growing plants, preparing food, practicing karate, and drinking coffee. He was known for his ability in both of these areas. The family of Victor has requested that in lieu of flowers and other tokens of condolence, donations be made to the Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation. They also accept donations in any other form.

Visitation will be held twice on Tuesday, December 27, 2022: first from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and then again from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. The funeral service will be held at 4:00 pm. The memorial service will begin at one o’clock in the afternoon on Wednesday, December 28, 2022, the day after it has been scheduled to take place, which is the following day. The Beechwood Cemetery, which can be found at 280 Beechwood Avenue in the city of Ottawa, Ontario, K1L 8A6, will serve as the location for both of the events that are going to take place there.
