Muhlenkamp, a local resident of St. Anthony who had reached the age of 55 and had passed away on Monday, December 26, 2022 in the comfort of his own home, was declared dead. He was born in Coldwater, Michigan on February 21, 1967 to his late parents, Cletus Muhlenkamp and Joan (Pottkotter) Muhlenkamp. His parents have since passed away. Before he was even born, his father had already passed away. On October 20, 1990, he tied the knot with Cindy Niekamp. The celebration was held in the year 1990.
Among those who carry on his legacy are his children, including Leah (Chad) Knapke of Versailles, Seth (Kelly) Muhlenkamp of Coldwater, Jacob (Rachel) Muhlenkamp, Sam Muhlenkamp (Ashley Hart), and Joel Muhlenkamp, all of St. Anthony. In addition to his children, he is survived by his grandchildren, Charlie and Louis Knapke, Reagan, Marissa, Theo, and Abel Muhlenkamp, Claudia, and Nicholas Knapke.
His passing came before that of his wife’s parents, Orville and Alice Niekamp, both of whom had preceded him in death. This suggests that he is the only member of his immediate family who is still alive at this point in time. Both the services held at St. Anthony Catholic Church and those held at Coldwater High School, from which Steve graduated in 1985, were attended regularly by Steve. In the year 1985, Steve graduated from the second institution and received his diploma. He labored the land his entire life and took an immense amount of pride in his family, particularly in his children and grandchildren. He worked the land his entire life.
