Corey Alkire Obituary, Death – On December 25, 2022, Corey Wayne Alkire, who was 32 years old at the time of his death, passed away at Lynchburg General Hospital. He lived in the Madison Heights neighborhood of the city. He was the husband of Morgan Alkire, who had passed away prior to the events of the story. He was born on February 19, 1990 in Fairfax, Virginia, and his mother, Tania Wirth, hails from Appomattox. His father, Kenneth Wayne Alkire, passed away prior to his birth.
The death of his father occurred. In addition to being an active participant in the life of the Calvary Baptist Church community, he was employed at Sandrof Auto Body. An alumnus of Appomattox County High School, having graduated with the class of 2008. In addition to going four-wheeling in the mountains, fishing, cars, tattoos, and art were some of Corey’s most cherished hobbies. He also enjoyed spending time outdoors.
He is survived by his mother, as well as his three daughters, Kierstin Alkire, Brooklyn Alkire, and Ava Alkire; his two sisters, Heather Alkire and Anna Alkire; his brother, Brandon Alkire; his niece, Jocelyn Calloway; and his maternal grandparents, Kathryn Joanne Beeson (John O’Donnell), and Walter Larry Beeson (Anne). In addition, he is survived by a large number of aunts, uncles, and cousins, one of whom is a cousin named Kylie Ortega who was especially close to him; his mother-in-law, Tara Jennings; his grandmother-in-law, Cynthia Gossom; his two closest friends, Rob Mott and Abraham “Ham” Rossi; and his dog, Zeke. On the evening of Thursday, December 29, 2022, at 6:00 o’clock, a memorial service honoring the departed will take place at Calvary Baptist Church in Concord, Virginia, which can be found at 9388 Village Highway. Pastor Chad Harris is going to act as the chief host for the occasion. Following the conclusion of the funeral service, the family will throw a reception for all of their close friends. In lieu of traditional floral tributes, the family would be gratefully appreciative of financial contributions that would assist with the maintenance of Corey’s daughters.
