Carrie Brown Obituary, Carrie Brown has sadly passed away

Carrie Brown Obituary, Death – Mother Carrie Lee Reynolds Brown, who was 97 years old and resided in Hamilton, New Jersey, passed away at the Robert Wood Johnson Hospital in Hamilton.  On October 22, 1924, in Fort Gaines, Georgia, Carrie Lee Reynolds was born to William Reynolds, who passed away, and Jennie Eula Latimer Reynolds, who also passed away. Fort Gaines, Georgia was home to Mother Brown during her time at Speight High School.

Willie A. Brown, who passed away in 1993, was Mother Brown’s husband when they wed on July 17, 1943. At the time, he was serving in the United States Army. At some point in the future, Mother Brown and her husband will make their way back to Trenton, New Jersey, where they will continue to reside for more than eighty years. Mother worked for General Motors and Lee Jeans & Overalls before she retired from those companies. Additionally, she held a job as a home health aide.

Mother Brown joined the Friendship Baptist Church in Trenton, New Jersey, in 1984 and remained a member there for many years. The late Reverend Dr. Willie J. Sanders, who passed away in the year 2000, bestowed upon her the title of mother. Ever since the year 2001, she has been an engaged participant on the Mother’s Board.

Willie A. Brown, her husband; Willie J. Brown, their son; Willie T., John Westley, Albert, Willard, Lester, and Willie Morris Reynolds; and Laura, Scarlet, and Ossie Mae Reynolds Roberts, her brothers and sisters all passed away before Mother Carrie. Her parents, husband, and son also passed away before her.

She is survived by one daughter, Sheila Brown, who resides in Trenton, New Jersey; two sons, George L. Brown and Willie W. Brown (Toney), who reside in Trenton, New Jersey and Atlanta, Georgia, respectively; one sister, Treva Webb; granddaughters, Carrie J. Brown Camp, Malissa J. Brown, Nicole J. Brown, Schnell D. Reid, Melanie Yancey and Keisha Tarver; grandsons, Willie J. Re
