Michi Head Obituary, Death – On the afternoon of December 22, 2022, soon after 2:00 p.m., members of Louisiana State Police Troop A began investigating a two-vehicle incident that occurred on LA 928 east of LA 74 in Ascension Parish. The incident involved a collision between two vehicles. Michael Head of Geismar, who was 62 years old at the time of the accident, passed away as a result of the incident. The senior pastor of New Life Community Church, Michi Head, was in charge of the church that was located there.
The first findings of the inquiry indicate that Head was operating a 2014 Cadillac SRX in a westbound direction on LA 928. On LA 928, concurrently with the movement of the second vehicle, a 2013 Toyota 4-Runner was heading in the opposite direction, toward the east. Due to the absence of any available information, it is uncertain what caused Head to cross the center line, enter the eastbound lane, and smash head-on with the 4-Runner. The investigation into this occurrence is currently ongoing.
At the time of the collision, Head was not wearing a seat belt, and as a result, he sustained fatal injuries that caused him to pass away at the scene of the accident. After being properly restrained, the driver of the Toyota 4Runner sustained moderate injuries and was transported to a nearby medical facility to receive treatment. Both drivers gave consent to have a toxicological sample taken of their blood, which will now be analyzed as part of the inquiry that is still ongoing. The investigation has not yet come to a conclusion. There is still no clear explanation as to what caused this disaster.
