Michael Head Obituary Geismar Louisiana, Michael Head died in a car accident

Michael Head Obituary, Death – On the afternoon of December 22, 2022, shortly after 2:00 p.m., troopers with the Louisiana State Police Troop A began investigating a two-vehicle collision that had occurred on LA 928 east of LA 74 in Ascension Parish. Michael Head of Geismar, 62 years old at the time, lost his life as a result of the accident.
According to the preliminary findings of the investigation, Head was operating a 2014 Cadillac SRX while traveling west on LA 928.

A 2013 Toyota 4-Runner was also traveling eastbound on LA 928 at the same time as the other vehicle. Head drove across the center line, entered the eastbound lane, and collided head-on with the 4-Runner for unknown reasons that are still being investigated. Head, who was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the collision, did not survive his injuries and passed away at the scene of the accident. The driver of the Toyota 4Runner sustained moderate injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital after being safely restrained and transported there.

A toxicology sample was obtained from both drivers as part of the ongoing investigation, and it will be submitted for analysis. The investigation is still ongoing. The cause of this crash has not yet been determined. Statistics show that if restraints are worn correctly and appropriately, they can significantly reduce the risk of an individual being injured or killed as a result of being involved in a collision.

However, not all collisions are survivable. Every person in a moving vehicle in the state of Louisiana is required by law to keep their seat belt on at all times, regardless of where they are seated. One of the most efficient ways to protect one’s life and lessen the severity of injuries sustained in collisions is to always wear one’s seat belt in the correct manner. Please make it a priority to have a conversation with the people you care about about the significance of wearing seatbelts while traveling this holiday season.
