Larry Macdonald Obituary, Death – Larry MacDonald passed away while surrounded by his family at the time of his passing. His passing was not painful in any way. Larry entered this world on October 1st, 1938, and he was born in Chatham. The previous seven years, he had spent the majority of his time in Dresden, which he considered to be his home. They had been married for 54 years when he passed away; his wife Edith “Edie” (Parker) had always shown him affection and care throughout their marriage. Tracy deBakker (Frank), Lisa High (Brent), and Scott MacDonald, his devoted offspring (Jody Pray).

It will be very difficult for Mitchell High, Davis High, Jessica deBakker, Amber deBakker, Zach deBakker, Jenney MacDonald, and Parker MacDonald to get over the loss of their devoted grandfather. In addition, he is survived by his siblings Anne MacDonald, brother Donald MacDonald (and Maria), Bob MacDonald, Anne MacDonald, and Bob MacDonald; sister Anne MacDonald; sister-in-law Barb MacDonald; mother-in-law Helen Parker; brother-in-law Wayne Parker (and Carol); and brother-in-law and best friend Ken Parker (Susanne).

Causing an irreparable void in the lives of a large number of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews, in particular Kirk Parker and Chad Parker. His loyal companion “Maggie,” a German shepherd, will be upset by his passing away. Maggie will miss him very much. His parents, Ed and Leona (Myers) MacDonald, as well as his brother, Brian, and his father-in-law, Harold (Boots) Parker, as well as his sister-in-law, Pat MacDonald, all passed away before he did. His wife’s father, Harold (Boots) Parker, also died before him.

The members of the MacDonald family would like to express their appreciation to the Dresden Fire Department, the Paramedics, the wonderful staff at the CKHA – Sydenham Campus, the home care nurses and providers, in particular Clare, Dr. David Sullivan, who is always there for us, our wonderful neighbors and friends, and Badder Funeral Home (Jason, Dave and Jackie). Many thanks to each and every one of you! An event to celebrate Larry’s life and pay tribute to his passing will take place at a later date; the cremation has already taken place.
