James Clarke Obituary, Death – On the evening of December 24, 2022, at around 7:37 o’clock in the evening, deputies and officers from the Ashland Police Department arrived at the 100 block of East Omni Court in response to a shooting that had just taken place there. When the responding units arrived at the location, they found a victim, later determined to be an adult male, who was suffering from what seemed to be a gunshot wound. Hanover Fire-EMS determined that the adult male victim was no longer conscious, and as a consequence, they declared that he had passed away as a result of his injuries.
Since then, he has been determined to be a man named James Edward Clarke, who was born in Ashland and is currently 59 years old. This information has been uncovered since the incident.
In connection with this shooting, an adult male identified as Eric Joe Key, 59, from Richmond was taken into custody as soon as law enforcement authorities arrived at the scene. Almost immediately, he was transported to jail. In addition to being charged with Murder in the First Degree, Key is also the subject of an investigation for the Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony (F). Key is the one who is being accused of these things (F).
