Calvin Chunglo Obituary, Past CEC member, Calvin Chunglo has passed away

Calvin Chunglo Obituary, Death – Calvin T. Chunglo, 74 years old, passed away on Friday, December 23, 2022 at his home in Harrodsburg. He was the husband of Mary Lou Walls Chunglo. He was the son of Charles T. Chunglo and Marilyn Irene Moses Chunglo, both of whom passed away before his birth on June 20, 1948 in Springfield, Massachusetts. He served his country honorably in the United States Navy Seabees, worked as an engineering technician for Northeast Utilities, and was an active parishioner at St. Andrew Catholic Church in Harrodsburg.

Over the course of more than 45 years, he was an engaged participant in the Mercer County 4H Program, the Mercer County Cattleman’s Association, the local Vietnam Veterans Group, and the Mercer County Fish and Game Farm. In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Ellen (Nick) Binsfeld of Arkansas, and one son, Adam (Elizabeth) Chunglo of Harrodsburg. He also leaves behind one sister, Tonie (Raymond) White of Agawam, Massachusetts; a brother-in-law, David (Kim) Walls of Frankfort; three grandchildren, Emily and Seth Chunglo as well as Jimmy Binsfeld; two nephews, Josh White and Christopher Wall

Memorial services are going to be held at the Camp Nelson National Cemetery, and Deacon Brian Wentz is going to preside over them. On Thursday, December 29, 2022, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., guests are welcome to pay their respects at the Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home, Inc. The family has asked that memorial contributions be made to the Mercer County 4H, which can be found at 1007 Lexington Road in Harrodsburg, Kentucky 40330; the Mercer County FFA, which can be found at 1124 Moberly Road in Harrodsburg, Kentucky 40330; and/or the St. Andrew Catholic Church, which can be found at 1125 Danville Road in Harrodsburg, Kentucky 40330.
