Elisha Behrman Obituary, Death – Elisha Ann Behrman, also known as Elisha Ann Huelsmann, was 45 years old when she passed away on Friday, December 23, 2022, at her residence in Bartelso. She is the daughter of Dennis and Phyllis Huelsmann of Breese, and her birthday is March 9th, 1977. Her mother’s maiden name was Wuebbles.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, Corey Behrman of Bartelso, whom she wed on June 29, 2002 at St. Dominic Catholic Church in Breese; their children, Bryce and Nate Behrman of Bartelso; her sister, Catrina (Carl) Vandeloo of Bartelso; her mother-in-law, Phyllis, nee Weeke, Behrman of St. Libory; her grandmother, Ag
Her grandfather, Wilbert Huelsmann, as well as her great-grandparents, George and Helen Wuebbles (née Kapp), both passed away before Elisha, as did her father-in-law, Norbert Behrman. Elisha has a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education and previously worked as a teacher at Mascoutah Middle School, where she was responsible for teaching seventh grade Social Studies. She was a former member of the Bartelso Parent Faculty Club and a past president of that organization. In addition, she was a member of the Ladies Sodality at St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Bartelso. She was a voracious reader and enjoyed going on vacation, but the thing that brought her the greatest joy was spending time with her children, other members of her family, and her friends.
On Wednesday, December 28, 2022, at 11:00 a.m., a Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Bartelso, with Father James Buerster presiding. The funeral service will be followed by the interment at St. Cecilia Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at Moss Funeral Home in Breese on Tuesday, December 27, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., and then again on Wednesday, December 28, 2022 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:15 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, plants, and other gifts, memorial contributions can be made to an education fund for Elisha’s children (checks should be made payable to Corey Behrman). These contributions will be accepted at the visitation or by mail at Moss Funeral Home, which is serving the family and is located at 535 N. 5th Street in Breese, Illinois 62230.
