Lindsay Ann Heck Obituary, Death – On December 20, 2022, Dr. Lindsay Ann Heck, 25 years old, was taken from this world suddenly and placed in the arms of the Lord. She was the daughter of Carl Heck, from West Wyoming, and Sherry Drungell, from Tunkhannock. Her mother’s maiden name was Drungell. Everyone looked up to Lindsay because her smile could brighten a room and her laughter could make everyone feel better about themselves. She was devoted to her friends and a reliable confidante to all of the people she cared about. Lindsay had a deep love for others, and she lived her life putting the needs of others ahead of her own.
She was the top student in her class at Tunkhannock Area School District in 2016, earning the title of valedictorian. After that, in May of 2022, she graduated with honors and a doctorate in pharmacy from the University of Pittsburgh, where she had earned summa cum laude status. She participated in the Community Pharmacy Practice Development and Research fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy, where she held the position of fellow. She found great joy in imparting her passion and expertise to others, as well as passing on her knowledge to students, doing research, and managing a number of vaccine clinics.
Lindsay is survived by her mother and stepfather, Sherry and Jack Drungell, of Tunkhannock; her father, Carl Heck, of West Wyoming; her sister, Carly Heck (fiancĂ© Matthew Snyder) of Pittsburgh; and brother, Robert Tsikalas II of Tunkhannock; Lindsay’s grandmothers, Joyce DeAngelo (Nonni) of Exeter and Marion Heck (Grammy) of West Wyoming; her godfather and uncle, Bill DeAnge In addition to her step-siblings: Mackenzie Drungell, Morgan Drungell and Jackson Drungell. In addition, she is survived by a large number of cousins, aunts, uncles, and Chloe, the cat that she adored. She has now arrived in Heaven to be with her Nonno, Grandpa Heck, and Gary.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 26, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Gubbiotti Funeral Home, LLC, located at 1030 Wyoming Avenue, Exeter. Relatives and friends are welcome to attend. On Tuesday, December 27, at 2:00 p.m., those who are attending her burial should make their way directly to the church for a Mass of Christian Burial that will be celebrated at Saint Barbara’s Parish in St. Anthony of Padua Church, which is located at 224 Memorial Street in Exeter. The Very Reverend Paul McDonnell, OSJ will preside over the ceremony as the celebrant. St. John the Baptist Slovak Cemetery, located on Schooley Street in Exeter, will be the location of the interment, which will be followed by a Rite of Committal.
