Dave  Wright Obituary, Death – On Monday David “Dave” Samuel Wright, age 65, of Rock Falls, Illinois, and formerly of Chicago, Illinois, passed away at his home. He was a native of Chicago, Illinois. Dave Wright was born on April 19, 1953, in the city of Chicago to parents Samuel J. and Margaret M. (Engel) Wright. Dave’s birth took place in the city of Chicago. He served in the United States Army for a period of time and was stationed in Germany at one point during that time.

In the Windy City, on August 31, 1973, he and Martha Jane “Janie” Dutton exchanged their vows in front of family and friends. Before Dave moved on to NGI, he spent a number of years working as a foreman for Bodine Electric Company in Chicago. Dave remained with NGI until the year 2002, when he took early retirement.

Surviving members of his family include his wife, Janie; two sons, David “Jay” Wright and Edward J. Wright, both of Lake in the Hills, Illinois, and Edward J. Wright and his fiancée, Angie, of Box Springs, Georgia; six grandchildren, Megan, Stephanie, Courtney, Dylan, Audrey, and Jaxon; seven siblings, Rona (Tom) Schmidt, Christopher (Hope), Wright, Christine Thacker, Gary (Connie), and Helen Wright (Boone)

His mother and father, along with his brother Joseph Wright, all passed away before he was born. In his family, he was the only child ever born.

On Sunday a memorial service will be held at the Centre of Elgin Heritage Ballroom from noon until three o’clock in the afternoon. The Centre of Elgin Heritage Ballroom can be found at 100 Symphony Way in Elgin, Illinois 60120. The completion of the required arrangements was entrusted to the care of the professionals at the McDonald Funeral Home and Crematory in Rock Falls.
