Charles Douglass Obituary, Death – On December 12, 2022, Charles Douglass “Doug” January, who had reached the age of 51, passed away unexpectedly. Doug was born on June 1st, 1971 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to his parents, Robert Eldon January and Linda Lou Brandon – January. His grandfather was also named Robert Eldon January. His grandmother was Linda Lou Brandon. Doug was a pure and simple rural hillbilly who went to Jay High School. He was a very hard worker and talented in a variety of trades; nevertheless, his primary occupation was farming.

Alongside his father, Robert January, Doug always looked forward to working on lawn mowers. Swimming, fishing, going on road trips, having monthly date evenings with his lovely wife Bridget, as well as singing and dancing with her, were all activities that Doug enjoyed doing in his spare time. Doug and his wife enjoyed spending time with their granddaughter, Haisley Keys of the home. While they were together, they would play “salon,” in which Hailey would style Doug’s hair with barrettes, ponytails, and bows. Doug had a deep affection for his direct and extended families, as well as their pets, friends, and neighbors. He also enjoyed being of assistance to others and taking pleasure in the happiness of others. He touched the lives of so many incredible people, and they will all miss him terribly.

His mother, Linda Lou Brandon-January, passed away before he did. Doug is an only child. He is survived by his devoted wife, Bridget January, of the family home; daughters Kelsie Jade Brewster and her husband JC of Grove, OK, Aubree Rose January of the family home; Angelica Hannon and her husband Frankie Walker of Bunch, OK, Daphne Hannon and her husband Darrian Hindal of Siloam Springs, AR; sons Dakota Ray January of the family home, Dustin Lawson of Siloam Springs, AR, Preston Lawson and his wife Bai Haisley Keys of the house, Aponi Hannon of Bunch, Oklahoma, Brantley Lawson of Cherokee City, Arkansas, Grayson Leshko and Ella Brewster of Grove, Oklahoma; siblings, Frank January of Columbia, Renn Fisher and husband Mike of Claremore, Oklahoma, Robbie January of Washington State, Brian January and wife Delala of Jay, Oklahoma, and Crystal January of Jay, Oklahoma; numerous nieces, nephews, great-niece and great-nep

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service in honor of Doug will take place at a later date, probably in the spring of 2023. Lawson’s Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, located at 311 W.
