Simon Yaxley Obituary, BBC Radio Cumbria presenter has died

Simon Yaxley Obituary, Death – Simon Yaxley, the BBC Radio Cumbria presenter and producer has passed away. Simon was described as ‘radio through and through’. As a result of his participation in a number of pantomimes, Simon was well-known among amateur theatrical groups located throughout the entirety of Cumbria. Simon was a well-known figure within these communities due to his job as a journalist for the BBC in Cumbria, where he was based.

After leaving Clacton-on-Sea, which is located in the county of Essex, “Yakkers” relocated to Cumbria and continued to host the breakfast program on Lakeland Radio until 2017, when the station was acquired from CN Group. Cumbria Radio has taken over ownership of Lakeland Radio. After that, he went to Radio Cumbria, where he started off as the host of a brand new program there. Following that, he left Radio Cumbria. Because of the unmistakable quality of his speaking voice, he rose to prominence in the county in a short amount of time.

Andy Milliard, with whom Simon used to co-host programs at Lakeland Radio when the latter was employed there, once made the observation that “He was just radio through and through; it was his actual passion.” When he found out that Lakeland Radio would no longer be transmitting in this region, his spirit plummeted, but he jumped with joy when he was offered a job at Radio Cumbria. “He was such an easygoing person, and he had a lot of excitement for the people who lived in the region,” I added. “He had a lot of joy for the people who lived in the neighborhood.”

A spokeswoman from the BBC has issued the following statement: “Our thoughts and condolences are with Simon’s family and friends at this difficult time.” The BBC broke the news of [Simon’s] passing earlier today. We will not be making any further comments at this time since we are mindful of the fact that this is going to be a very tough moment for them. Because of this, we have decided not to say anything further.
