Timmons, who had been a resident of Grand Bay, Alabama all of his life and had reached the age of 58 at the time of his passing, passed away in a nearby medical facility that was in close proximity to his residence. His birthplace was in D’Iberville, which is located in the state of Mississippi in the United States. His birth took place in the city of Anchorage, which is found in the state of Alabama. Tiffany Timmons and Melissa Timmons, both of his daughters, as well as his parents, Thomas and Lilly Timmons, his brother, Thomas (Timmy) Timmons, his sister, Mary DiAngelo, and his mother-in-law, Inez Danise, all went away before he did. His wife, Inez Danise, also died before he did. In addition to this, his wife Melissa Danise passed away earlier than he did.

He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Darnell Timmons; his children that were the light of his life, Rachel (Jackie) Timmons-Hopper and Rebecca (Matthew) Summerlin of Mobile, AL; his grandchildren, Brian Bellknap, Preston Sinclair, Brooklyn Benintende, Azlynn Timmons, Abigaile Milbrath, and Abel Summerlin; and two sisters, Jayne Moon and Anne Seymour. Richard was a self-employed entrepreneur who ran his own business.
On Wednesday, October 19, 2022, from 2:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M., there will be a Celebration of Life held at The Baptist Chapel, which is located at 10431 Old Pascagoula Road in Grand Bay, Alabama 36541. The date and time of the event have not yet been determined. The funeral home known as Ascension Funeral Home, which can be found at 1016 Hillcrest Road, Mobile, Alabama 36695, has been given the responsibility of making the necessary arrangements.
