Angela Currie Obituary, Death – Angela Currie, who was serving as our acting chair at the time of her unexpected death earlier this week, was beloved by everyone who knew her. Her passing came as a shock to everyone in the organization. It is impossible to overstate how much of a contribution Angela has made to the ongoing efforts of the Gateshead Older People’s Assembly; she has been instrumental in their success. For a number of years, she served as the social group leader for both Deckham and St. Helen’s, during which time both groups came very close to filling up the available seating at their respective meeting locations.
Angela was not only a fervent supporter of our community café, but she also contributed a significant amount of her time to cook mouthwatering meals for the individuals who benefited from our facility. In addition, Angela was a fervent supporter of our community café. Angela made sure that our restaurant never ran out of everything it required, whether it be corned beef pies, quiches, or biscuits. In addition to volunteering her time to handle the pay point at our credit union, Angela served on our board of trustees for a number of years during the course of her career.
Angela was a beautiful person who devoted her life to making the world a better place for the people in her immediate community and the individuals she encountered throughout her travels.
In a nutshell, she exerted an incredible amount of effort toward achieving this goal. She had a sharp wit and a robust sense of humor, and she made sure that everyone stayed where they were supposed to be. Angela’s husband, Ray, as well as her sister, Maureen, and the rest of Angela’s family, have our sincerest condolences. We are also passing along our condolences to Angela herself. Angela will be greatly missed by each and every one of us. If everything goes according to plan, the memorial service for Angela is planned to be placed at the Saltwell Crematorium on Friday, January 6, at 12 p.m. We will make efforts to keep this website up to date with any changes that may occur to any of these arrangements.
