Hammond Beale Obituary, Death – The legal profession laments the departure of Hammond A. Beale, Jr., a veteran litigator who handled both military and civilian cases and was admitted to the South Carolina bar in 1967. He distinguished himself as a military judge while serving in the U.S. Army from 1967 to 1971 as a CPT in the Judge Advocate General Corps. After leaving the military, he retired to Columbia, South Carolina, where he worked as a claims adjustor for the Veterans Administration for a while before opening his own business. Throughout his professional career, he was an active member of the SC Bar Association, the Richland County Bar, and other legal associations in addition to founding Palmetto Law Center, P.C.
