Abigail Godfrey Obituary, Dallastown PA Abigail Godfrey Has Passed Away

Abigail Godfrey Obituary, Death – At the age of twenty years old, Abigail Grace Godfrey passed away at WellSpan York Hospital on the evening of Sunday, July 31, 2022. After her passing, her loving family will feel an incredible void where she once was. On Wednesday, August 10, 2022, there will be a viewing from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Olewiler and Heffner Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc. located at 35 Gotham Place in Red Lion, Pennsylvania. This will be followed by a Celebration of Life Ceremony that will be officiated by Certified Celebrant Allison Duke. The dates for both of these events have been set for the 10th of August, 2022.

The burial will take place at Susquehanna Memorial Gardens immediately following the funeral services. The Godfrey family included Thomas E. Godfrey Jr. and Nancy A. (Cain) Godfrey, and Abigail was their daughter. York was the location of her birth on June 12th, 2002. Abigail will graduate from Dallastown Area High School in the year 2020 with the other members of her class. During her time with the school band, she was very involved with it and participated in multiple ensembles, including the Dallastown High School Drumline, the First Capital Drumline, and the York Youth Symphony, among others. Helping out at the Heavenly Paws Animal Shelter, where she volunteered, and spending time with her cat, Romeo, were Abigail’s two favorite things to do in her spare time when she was not working.

Because of the organization Gift of Life, Abigail’s organs were able to be used to save the lives of eight other people after she had passed away. Her legacy will be carried on by her parents, Thomas E. Godfrey, Jr. and Nancy A. (Cain) Godfrey; her three brothers, Christopher T. Godfrey, Derrick T. Godfrey (Emily), and Ethan J. Madison; a niece, Harper L. Godfrey; a nephew, Landon J. Godfrey; and her beloved cat, Romeo. Abigail will be deeply missed by all of her loved ones. In lieu of sending flowers, memorial contributions in memory of the deceased can be made to Heavenly Paws Animal Shelter, Inc.. Abigail’s grandfather, Thomas E., passed away before she did.
