Marie Edwards Obituary, Death – At the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, Kentucky, on the 15th day of December in the year 2022, Marie Edwards passed away. When she passed away, she had reached the age of 58 years old. When she passed away, she was a patient at the facility. She felt the most at ease and like she belonged there while she was in the Kentucky community of Somerset, which she regarded to be her home. On October 26, 1964, in the city of Somerset, which is located in the Commonwealth of Kentucky, Eugene Holloway and Ruby Sluder Young brought their daughter Marie Holloway into the world. To be more accurate, the location of Somerset lies inside the Somerset region. Ruby Sluder Young was her grandmother, and Eugene Holloway was her paternal grandfather. She was named after her grandmother. During her time working with Comfort Keepers, she worked a number of shifts at the institution where she was previously employed.

Marie placed a high priority on being able to spend time with both her biological family and the small circle of friends she kept very dear to her. On June 18, 2004, she wed Donnie Lee Edwards in Somerset. The ceremony took place there. She is survived by her husband, Donnie Lee Edwards; three sons, Tanner Guy of White Lily, Donnie Lee Edwards, Jr. of Letcher Co., and Chad Duane (Sunshine) Edwards of Science Hill; two daughters, Amanda (Mark) Johnson of Somerset and Rachel (Michael) Rainwater of White Lily; and eight grandchildren, Alexis Weddle, Derek Edwards, Alexis Rainwater, Rachel Rainwater, and Michael Rainwater. She was

Marie’s adoptive parents Pearlie and Joseph “Martin” Massey, her biological brother Gary Holloway, her two sisters-in-law Barbara Holloway and Connie Baldwin, her nephew Joey Holloway, and her biological brother Gary Holloway all passed away before she did. Gary Holloway was not just the name of Marie’s husband, but also the name of her biological brother. Because neither of Marie’s adoptive parents were still alive when she was born, she was immediately placed with a new family once she was brought into the world. Both of her biological parents had passed away prior to her coming into the world.
