Evelyn Ruiz Obituary, Death – Evelyn Crouch-Ruiz, who was dearly loved by all of us, passed away while receiving treatment in the intensive care unit at Advent Health Heart of Florida in Haines City, Florida. She was a wonderful mother to her three children, Evelyn Aixa, Julio Irvin, and Alex Ral (1977-2009) Rivera-Crouch. Her children’s names are Evelyn, Julio, and Alex. She is survived by her as well as the grandkids of Evelyn and Julio, all of whom adored her. She is survived by her. The significant loss she has caused her family and friends is being mourned as they rejoice in the fact that she was a part of their lives. In addition to the life of her own family, Dr. Evelyn Crouch-Ruiz touched and imprinted the lives of a great number of people. She taught nursing at the primary University of Puerto Rico for more than 45 years during her career there.
She received a doctorate in nursing from the University of Texas at Austin, a post-doctoral degree from the University of California at San Francisco, and she studied nursing at the internal school of the Old San Lucas Hospital, which is located on the Ponce Campus of the Pontifical Catholic University of Puerto Rico. We are grateful to each of you for your sympathy. Funeral services will be held from five in the evening until eight in the evening on Tuesday, January 5, 2020 at Richard’s Funeral Home in Haines City, Florida. It is necessary to have a capacity for twenty-five people, to wear face shields, and to maintain social distance. Flowers are welcome, and if you want to send them, you have until Tuesday to do so.

She is survived not only by her daughter Evelyn and her son Julio, but also by her grandkids, who were the object of her devotion. Family and close friends both lament their terrible loss and express gratitude for the time they spent with her. She received her bachelor’s degree in nursing from the boarding school of Antiguo Hospital San Lucas, her master’s degree in nursing from the Pontifical Catholic University of Puerto Rico’s Ponce Campus, her doctorate in nursing from the University of Texas at Austin, and her post-doctoral degree in nursing from the University of California at San Francisco.
