William McDaniel Obituary,  Death – Sarah Rebanell Garver Mesimer Carriker was 87 years old when she passed away on December 15, 2022. She resided in Woodleaf and passed away in the Liberty Commons Nursing & Rehabilitation Center of Rowan County. Sarah Rebanell Garver Mesimer Carriker was a native of Rowan County. Despite the fact that neither of her parents were alive when she was born, she was delivered on January 21, 1935 in Rowan County, North Carolina. Her parents’ names were Robert Lee Garver and Myrtle Goodman Garver, and they were respectively her father and mother. Sarah went on to work in the food service department at West Rowan High School, which is a component of the Rowan-Salisbury Schools after she graduated from Landis High School in 1954 with the Class of 1954.

Landis High School is located in Salisbury, North Carolina. She was a member of the Woodleaf Baptist Church, where she occasionally played the piano and assisted with the care of the church’s young children (infants and toddlers) She also sang in the church choir. She wed Johnny Melvin Mesimer in June of 1954, and he predeceased her by thirty years, passing away on December 30, 2000. They had been married for sixty years. They had been married for fifty-four years at the time of this sentence. After a life together marked by longevity and contentment, Sarah Carriker’s husband Raymond Carriker passed away on December 29, 2018, leaving behind his wife. In addition to her parents and spouses, her siblings Mable Walker, Pauline Brady, Velma Vanpelt, Hazel Johnson, Nita Overcash, Rachel Efrid, Wilma Adcock, Ollie Morrow, Fred Garver, Ernest Garver, Hoyle Garver, and Oscar Garver, as well as her son Michael Lynn Mesimer, who passed away on December 7, 2018, came before her.

Her son Michael Lynn Mesimer was the most recent member of her immediate family to pass away Her only child, Michael Lynn Mesimer, was the sole member of her immediate family to pass away before she did. The death of Michael Lynn Mesimer brought an end to her family’s line of ancestors, which began with Michael Lynn Mesimer. Those who are still alive to carry on her legacy are her daughter, Wanda Gail Pender; her sons, Johnny Craig Mesimer and Timothy Melvin Mesimer and their wives, Dawn and Pansy; her sixteen grandchildren, David, Kathy, Scott, Dean, Hunter, Charlene, Jimmy, James, Jesse, Chris, Cindy, Robin, Wayne, Sarah, Mary, and Rebecca; 32 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren; and her husband, Johnny Craig Mesimer.

Her memory will In addition to this, she is survived by Arrangements: On Monday, December 19, 2022, the family will host a visitation at Woodleaf Baptist Church from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Friends and relatives are encouraged to come pay your respects during this time. The ceremony will start at twelve in noon. The wake will get underway at twelve in the afternoon, and the funeral service will take place within the sanctuary of the church. Pastor Chris Williams is scheduled to preside over the ceremony in its entirety.
