Ruby Barrett Obituary, Death – Ruby Evelyn Smith Barrett, who had lived in Woodbury all her life and had reached the age of 96 when she passed away on December 17, 2022, in Woodbury Health & Rehab. On July 30, 1926, she entered this world in Cannon County, Tennessee, in the United States. Moses Smith and Penny Taylor Smith were her parents. She was named after both of them. Among the people who have survived her death are her children, Dewey Barrett of Woodbury and Joyce Barrett Tilford of Murfreesboro. Additionally, there are several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren who are still with us now.
She was predeceased by her husband, Pearson Barrett; her daughter, Sue Barrett Hollandsworth; her sons, Jack Barrett and Ronnie Barrett; her brothers, George Smith and Chester Smith; and her sisters, Ester Smith Sullins, Mae Smith Alexander, Cora Smith, and Ora Smith Delbridge. Her obituary reads: “She was married to Pearson Barrett, and she had one daughter, Sue Barrett Hollandsworth; her sons, Jack Barrett and Ronnie Barrett; her daughter, Sue She was preceded in death by her husband, Pearson Barrett; her daughter, Sue Barrett Hollandsworth; her sons, Jack Barrett and Ronnie Barrett; her boys; and her sons. In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by her husband.
Ms. Ruby was a woman who was involved in the activities of the Church of Christ in addition to her duties as a housekeeper. She was a devoted mother and a hard worker who devoted her life to taking care of her children and husband throughout her entire life. She enjoyed cooking and was meticulous about maintaining order in the home kitchen. On Tuesday, December 20, 2022 at 12 PM, Funeral Services will be held in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home for those who have passed away. During the ceremony, Bro. Herb Alsup will serve as the presider. The burial will take place at Riverside Gardens Cemetery immediately following the conclusion of the service.
