Jean Metz Obituary, Former Resident Of Forks Township And Tatamy Has Died

Jean Metz Obituary, Death – Jean M. Metz, who had lived in Forks Township and Tatamy in the past, passed away on December 15, 2022, at the age of 97, in the comfort of her home in Moore Township, surrounded by the loving members of her family. Her place of birth was the Forks Township. She was married to the late Stanley V. Metz, with whom she shared a long and happy marriage that lasted 47 years until his passing in the year 1990. They had two children together. Upper Nazareth Township is the place where Jean Davis was born. Her parents, John R. Sr. and Rose (Bonstein) Davis, have both passed away, and she was named after her mother.

It was in Nazareth that she completed her secondary school. After more than 23 and a half years of service, Jean retired from her position as a floorlady at the formerly Pioneer Sportswear shops in Stockertown and Nazareth before she did so. Throughout that time period, she was an active participant in the International Ladies’ Garment Workers’ Union. She cherished her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and found great joy in tending to her yard and spending time with her family, particularly her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She found great satisfaction in tending to her yard and in spending time with her family.

Her survivors include her granddaughter Sherri Gestl and husband Brian, with whom she resided, and Vanessa Biechy and husband Dale Jr., of Moore Township; great-granddaughters Amanda Gestl of Bensalem and Abby Gestl of Collegeville; great-great-grandson Jacob; a brother named Gerald Davis who lives in Phoenix, Arizona; a son-in-law named Joseph Csernak who lives in Moore Township; and a large number of nieces and nephew Her daughter, Sheran G. Csernak, as well as her husband, Stanley; three brothers, Russell, John Jr., and Kermit Davis; and five sisters, Doris Snyder, Roselle Gordino, Elizabeth Bartholomew, Shirley Hocking, and Sylvia Kirchhoffer, all passed away before her. She is survived by three brothers, Russell, John Jr., and Kermit Davis; three sisters, Doris Snyder, Roselle Gordino, and Elizabeth Bartholomew She was preceded in death by both her husband and her daughter. Her husband came first.
