Clara Daniel Obituary, Death – Clara Bell Daniel, 93, died in Amarillo, Texas, in 2022. Josh Light will officiate at the Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel on Wednesday, December 14, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. Llano Cemetery holds the burial. Her parents were farmers and homemakers. The family was destitute, so the kids toiled in cotton fields. Morton, Leia Lake, Friona, and Amarillo were their stops in Texas.

Clara married young and had Linda Gayle. Clara became a single mother to raise Linda. She waited tables at Amarillo’s Silver Grill. She met Vernon Miller there. Steven, Paul, Arnold, Edwin, and Eileen were their offspring. The family grew up in Bonanza Sirloin Pit, where they all worked. Clara prepared pies for the restaurant and worked as a cashier. Vernon and Clara divorced, although she continued working there. She encountered a used-car salesperson as a cashier. Norman Daniel helped her buy a car and became her last marriage. Clara and Norman enjoyed traveling together, whether to horse races, casinos, or Hereford to buy cars.

They occasionally played Bingo. Clara’s kids and grandkids come first. She hosted Sunday dinners so friends and family might join. She cooked well. She helped her kids with academics, sports, and music. Always present. She was a great grandma. She and Norman liked helping raise Zac and PJ and other grandchildren when their parents needed support. Clara worked hard. She was always busy gardening, sewing, and cooking. Clara transferred to Landmark of Amarillo Nursing Facility in 2018 after a couple falls, but she still loved it. The family would still eat with her in the dining room or outside. She liked family visits, sitting outside, and music.
