Howard Phorson Obituary, Death – Howard At this point in time, Blaine will turn 88 years old. Before he died, his parents Conrad and Elizabeth, his wife Bonnie, and their daughter Susan Kay Thorson all went away, as did his sister Lenore. His sister Lenore passed just a short time before he did as well. Children Jeff Thorson, Jay Thorson, who is married to Deb, Holly Anderson, who is married to Bill, Howie Thorson, who is married to Sharon, Ted Thorson, who is married to Beth, Amy Olson, who is married to Mark, and Toni Lahr, who is married to Louis; grandchildren Doug (Jennifer), Jackie (Jay), Corrin, Stephanie, Jacob, Thomas, Jane McKenzie (husband Jake), Melissa (husband Bill),
Dan, Evan ( Howard created a prosperous company in the Blaine area over the course of a number of years and was actively involved in the day-to-day activities of the city. A longtime member of a variety of organizations, including the Spring Lake Park Lions, the Hackensack Legion Post #202, the Kraus Hartig VFW, and the Blaine Chamber of Commerce, to name just a few of those organizations. During his time in the workforce, he was a member of both the United States Army and the United States Coast Guard, serving his country in both capacities.
On Thursday there will be a Mass of Christian Burial held at CHURCH OF ST. TIMOTHY (707 – 89th Ave. NE). The service will begin at 1:30 PM. The viewing will start at 12 noon, and the funeral ceremony will start not long after that. After passing away, the bodies of the deceased were laid to rest at the Veteran’s Memorial (Hillcrest) Cemetery in Hackensack. Instead of sending flowers, the family has requested that memorial contributions be sent to the Alzheimer’s Association in the honor of the individual who passed away.
